Pre-Fall 2010

As a designer, I feel like a fortune teller most of the time. Right after finishing Spring 2010, we divulge ourselves into Fall 2010. Most designers do a smaller collection for pre-fall.
I have picked a few of my favorites. There are lots of different tones of mustards, reds, and eggplant. Texture is also prevalent using furs, plaids, tweeds, and confetti print. Enjoy!

Pre-Fall 2010-Diane Von Furstenberg

By far, Diane von Furstenberg's pre-fall collection is my favorite. The military style coats over dresses in funky prints and colorful cocktail dresses make this collection golden. There is so much texture and her collections are never boring. She continues to reign in the fashion world.

Pre-Fall 2010-Narciso Rodriguez

Narciso Rodriguez's pre-fall collection is very dark. Of course splashes of color embellish the collection as seen on the shoulder of the dress above. He also plays with proportions in this collection. Billowy and shapely on top, skinny on the bottom. Loves it.

Pre-Fall 2010-Zac Posen

I seriously love all things Zac Posen, the man is brilliant. I really wanted to make out with this collection. Mixing plaids with plaids and more confetti style print. I also love that fur will continue to be an outerwear addition next fall. Tones of mustards, red and eggplants are going to continue to precede for pre-fall.

Pre-Fall 2010-D & G

So I was so impressed with D & G's Spring 2010 collection, and I am just as impressed with their Pre Fall 2010 collection. It looks like a party. So much fun with the confetti print and the rocker style frills. Plus the boots give it another edge.

Pre-Fall 2010-Oscar de la Renta

For Oscar de la Renta's pre fall 2010, there are deep mustard tones, red, creams and black. Many different tweeds and sheer black tights. For some reason, I noticed a Russian style vibe to this collection. Interesting and very chic.

New Style Icon: Katerina Graham

Katerina Graham is on a new show on the CW, The Vampire Diaries. She is a terrific actress, singer, dancer, songwriter, and the list goes on! We really love her style. It is fresh and yet so edgy. She has been quoted saying, "I don’t wear what’s on trend, and always like to do my own thing. In fact, if everyone is wearing one kind of style, I purposely veer off to do my own thing." (iheartheels.com interview) We agree.
Kat is also very involved in many different charitable organizations. She has attended many events such as Children Mending Heart, Friends Without a Border, and many more. Love it! We just hope to see more of her!
For some of her awesome, check it below!

Fur or Not?

Everyone has their opinions about using furs. I choose not to use real animal furs. But I love using faux fur! It works as a great substitute and you do not have to harm a small animal! Plus it can be washed in your washing machine, compared to real furs that need to be dry cleaned. Most faux furs are 100% acrylic, a man-made fabric.

The pink coat is Oscar de la Renta.
Sienna Miller is wearing Topshop.

Can't get enough of...

If Agyness Deyn, Victoria Beckham, and Jackie Chan somehow miraculously reproduced, you would have the perfection of Tao Okamoto. She is such a breath of fresh air, a definite trend setter, and THE HAIR!!! If you don't know her, then let me introduce you to pure fabulousness....

Fall/Winter trend.

Velvet leggings. Who would have thought I would be so head over heels over somethings so....you know i do not even have a word for it.
So much fun and so very comfortable plus I imagine they would be very warm for the Manhattan winter months!
Would you wear them?

Kristen Stewart's Fit

I like Kristen Stewart. She is a "no bullshit" kind of girl. She has a mind of her own. It's refreshing for some of the Hollywood cliches`.
So I really love this outfit on her. The Christian Louboutin flats are fun and contrast well with her Dolce & Gabbana sleeveless 'gun' tee. The blazer tops off this outfit and makes it edgy yet crisp. J'adore.

We want to throw out a special thanks to our lovely Adair Springfield who modeled the entire collection! She was great to work with!
I am posting a couple of the photos from the fall collection! Enjoy!

Fall and winter accessories.

We all have our favorite cold weather accessories. Whether its scarves, gloves, muffs, coats or boots, everyone loves to layer. My obsession this year is gloves. I have fingerless leather, leather, lace, knit, etc. I even started to add my own flair by adding studs and spikes. Here are a few designer gloves at a steep price that you could DIY. Find a pair of cheap leather gloves. You can buy studs online at M&J Trimmings. Mark on your gloves with chalk where you want to place your studs. You can place studs in leather by hand using a hard surface or hammer to close the studs in place. No need for special tools and you can get a fun pair of gloves at a fraction of the designer cost. Feel free to comment if you have any questions about how to do it! Enjoy!

Insane footwear.

I look at these shoes and say...wow and ouch. I think it is pretty fascinating that shoes can be made into a piece of art, but I know for sure my face would hit the pavement before I even had a chance to put on the other shoe.
My favorite would have to be the bootie adorned with a sash detail. So fun but I hope I wouldn't trip over it.
What do you think?

Cheers,
Erin
