Milan Fashion Week

So London Fashion Week has passed and we are now onto Milan Fashion Week. I hope to go someday. I love Italy. Never been but I still love it. Milan showed lots of spunk and believe it or not functionality and practicality. You do not see that much on a runway. I think you will enjoy. and as usual you can tell my favorites.
Later this weekend I will blog Paris Fashion Week. My favorite. Can not wait to see what's in store.
'Til Then...

Milan Fashion Week- D & G

I usually take Moschino over D & G but oh my. This collection stole my heart. Denim, ruffles, leather and eyelet. This is my personal 'girl cruch' collection. Yes it may be the southern in me but even you have to admit this collection is stunning.

Milan Fashion Week-Blumarine

Blumarine is such a fun and flirty brand. The Spring 2010 collection is so full of color and life. I really enjoy the fun silhouettes of bright tie-dyed organza. Walking on sunshine. Ooh.

Milan Fashion Week-Fendi

Fendi is the classic definition of fashion. I mean I feel like its been around forever! I oogled over this collection. Why you ask? Can you see the cinched waist? the pastel and earthy tones? So romantic. I adore.

Milan Fashion Week-Dolce & Gabbana

For Spring 2010 Dolce & Gabbana is going to continue to grace us with the pleasure of luxury. When I say that I mean lace. Not really but I seriously believe Dolce & Gabbana has lace in every collection ever. Of course, I am dying over this collection. I love the red leopard print with the floral lingerie shorts. I love it.

London Fashion Week

Right behind New York Fashion week is London's Fashion week. I love the Brits. I love Britain. I think of Agy D, Alexa Chung, and well The Beatles! Plus some of the worlds most prestigious designers like Christopher Bailey, Henry Holland, etc. Pictures and my thoughts below!

London Fashion Week-House of Holland

Henry Holland is very unique. He designs for that very fashion forward woman who follows all trends and constant change. He is also brilliant. He can put a pregnant MIA in a polka dot shear get up , exposing the elements and make it look amazing on a red carpet. Props, this collection makes me smile, bright colors, texture and difference.

London Fashion Week-Pringle of Scotland

This collection reminds me of romance. Everything is very whispy, and free and full of texture. I can see this collection way beyond the runway.

London Fashion Week-Burberry

Does anyone know my favorite brand? Anyone? Burberry! I have been a fan since I can remember! Well really since I discovered the fragrances in the ninth grade and it became my signature scent. Well when I saw this collection my draw dropped. Christopher Bailey is brilliant. I love everything about this collection: the updated signature trench, the knotted details, the shades of mint and pale pinks. I love this. My favorite collection of all fashion weeks by far. ;)

London Fashion Week-Luella

I love polka dots...no matter how cheesy they can be! Luella uses big oversized funky polka dots with some of my favorite silhouettes! I love an A-line dress and of course anything sweetheart cut! This collection is very fun and full of life!

New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion week is over. Yet I am already counting down the days for February. Below I posted some of my favorite designers and a few of their looks. The designers showed their looks for the Spring/Summer 2010. Cassie and I are completing our Spring/Summer 2010 samples now and hopefully we will be debuting them at Saint Louis Fashion Week! Please continue to vote for Nire`. Voting polls close Monday at midnight. Click here.
Thanks to Popsugar for the photos.

New York Fashion week-Zac Posen

Zac Posen is a miracle worker with texturizing the most simple of fabrics. Here, in his Spring 2010 collection, he did just that Look at the textures by bandaging the fabrics and giving it a fuller dimension by adding a contrasting color to make it pop. Love it. I am sure we will see this on the up coming red carpets.

New York Fashion Week-Derek Lam

Derek Lam, another fashion genius, surprised me this season. I love that aqua blue color but I adore that yellow floral print. But it is an edgy floral. It's cool.

New York Fashion Week-Marc Jacobs

Everyone knows that I will be the first to admit my obsession with all things Marc Jacobs. He can create the most amazing outfits in a snap and can make you look good in a garbage bag. He is a fashion idol. Not to mention he has the most amazing Spongebob Squarepants tattoo on his bicep. Anywho, Marc's Spring 2010 collection is like a fairytale. Full of whispy, flirty fun.

New York Fashion Week-Brian Reyes

Brian Reyes is one of my all time favorite designers. His pieces are very elegant and yet full of surprise. This collection reminds me of "timeless" beauty.

New York Fashion Week-Jason Wu

Does everyone remember who Jason Wu is? What he is known for? Yes, First Lady Michelle Obama's dress for the Inauguration Ball back in January. I was struck with complete fashion overload when I saw this collection. The bright colors, the amazing textures and the extravagent silhouettes= FABULOUS. I fell in love with his collection.

New York Fashion week-Proenza Schouler

Proenza's Spring 2010 Collection reminds me of the ocean. Amazing colors and the style is amazing. P.S. Check out the shoes.

New York Fashion Week-Rachel Roy

Here are a few pieces from Rachel Roy's Spring/Summer 2010 collection. As you can see, this collection is very "flowy" and full of draped pieces. Every piece of this collection fits a woman well. I love the windblown , natural wavy hairstyle. It compliments the designs well.

Natalie Portman at TIFF

Here are a couple of stunning pictures of Natalie Portman at TIFF. I just love her and her style. Laid back with a twist. Xoxo

The VMA's.

It was an interesting night in New york at Radio City Music Hall. The night was a tribute to the late Micheal Jackson. Yet Kanye West ruined it with his egotistical, narcissistic ways. Taylor Swift deserved her win!
Anywho-The fashion tonight was interesting and definitely full of silver and sparkles!Alessandra is gorgeous. She nailed her VMA look with this rocker chic ensemble and peep toe booties.
Well there are not enough words to describe but since it is designed by Jean Paul Gautier...it is still fabulous. I have mixed feeling about Lady Gaga's far fetched, 'look at me-look at me' style but I do love that song 'Paparazzi'.
This was my best dressed of the night. Perfect shimmery funky dress with the bold shoulder detail and some amazing cut-out studded booties. The hair and makeup. I do not use this word often but -FIERCE.
Taylor Swift is adorable. This dress is gorgeous. Maybe a little more Grammy's but Taylor came in a Cinderella-esque carriage so it works.
Love Katy Perry. She is like a real life Betty Boop. This dress is amazing-spikes, shimmer. What more can a girl ask for?
Pretty chic and very appropriate. Plus I love cutout shoulders.

Tough Bomber Jackets for Fall.

New York Fashion week for Spring 2010 is on a roll in Manhattan. Pictures to come in a bit. But Fall comes first so what is your prime investment for this season? A tough leather bomber jacket. Everyone loves leather jackets. I love how DSquared used a tweed overlay detail. Classic and edgy all in one piece.
Personally I would wear it with fun lace leggings and a fitted dress-all black. But that's just me.
Pictures to come from last night Fashion's Night Out.
