The Little White Dress.

One of the many top trends for this spring: the little white dress. Dakota rocks a textured strapless number by Emilio Pucci at SXSW. Meanwhile Mary-Kate dons a more eccentric LWD at an event last year. You can even find two different LWD from your truly-Nire`!

Parker and Paige.

I have been meaning to post about this for a while now. Sorry for the delay Paige. I am super excited to announce that a few Nire` dresses from our Spring 2010 collection is currently available at Parker and Paige. Parker and Paige is a retail store specializing in emerging fashion designers, such as myself. For each piece of clothing purchased, a new piece of clothing will be donated to a child in need beginning with school uniforms. Cassie and I are extremely excited about being a part of this. It is such a unique opportunity and here at Nire`, we love to make a difference as we also donate a portion of our proceeds.
The owner of Parker and Paige, Paige Lemann, has been recruiting some amazing designers for her store and currently has a preview storefront on Facebook until her full website launches later this Spring.
Everyone support and check out Parker and Paige! Below are a few images of Nire` from the Parker and Paige photo shoot.

Tyler Shields.

Now I know I usually do fashion posts but I can not resist posting something about this amazingly brilliant photographer...Tyler Shields. He can capture a scene to the point where you can feel the intensity of the moment. He is so good, he doesn't even use photoshop or any other method of editing. Check out a few of my favorites. I love all of the red heel images...hot.

Tyler also creates these video portfolios and has worked with some the greatest up and coming talent in the entertainment industry. He doesn't sleep and rarely eats based off of his twitter status updates and will shoot anyone, anywhere, and however he feel like it. He recently did a shoot with Portia Doubleday from Youth in Revolt where they both had black eyes and busted lips. I wonder if they actually went there and did it to each other. Brilliant and dedicated. I am a dedicated fan and I can only hope to work with him one day. Hint hint...
Check out his website(where these images are from) here.

No, Life is definitely not a fairytale.

London Fashion Week Fall 2010-Topman

Topman always shows a strong and structured collection for men during fall. There is a comfortable, laid-back look yet there is a hint of , well...smooth and sleek edge. A fur trimmed parka or an opened trench topped with andy warhol-esqe shades make this collection a must for all the men in my life...

London Fashion Week Fall 2010- Gieves & Hawkes

Some menswear like I promised! Gieves & Hawkes showed at London Fashion week for the first time last week. G & H has the style of a late 60s, early 70s rock guru with the leisure suit and loose collared structure. They also offer a custom made to measure service that allows the client to completely choose their ideal suit including fabric, fit, detail and lining. G & H also has bespokes traveling in the U.S. doing fittings and consultations. Check out their website here.

London Fashion Week Fall 2010- Julien Macdonald

I have discovered a new label love. Julien Macdonald. I have actually never heard of this designer before but I am floored by the originality and stunning design aesthetic mixing chunky knitwear with chiffon and destroyed laces. Julien has previously worked in knitwear with Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel and then became the creative director for Givenchy before beginning his own label. I have found a new favorite designer to add to my list!

London Fashion Fall 2010- Burberry Prorsum

Christopher Bailey is the creative genius behind Burberry. I loved loved loved the Spring 2010 collection with its pastel trench coats draped and knotted with texture. I am definitely not disappointed in the Fall 2010 collection. Lots of dark coats and for both men and women with pops of color like a bold cobalt and a chartreuse green but what is really catching my eye is those shearling coats! The double color is brilliant and there is leather detailing around the cuffs. Talk about looking great and extremely cozy!

New York Fashion Week Fall 2010

I love fashion week in New York, even if it is freezing cold and snowing like crazy. Well needless to say I posted my top favorite show from this season including Mackage, Charlotte Ronson and Rag & Bone.
There is definitely a dark and sexy theme flowing throughout these collections with a lot of leather and fur( with hopes all of the fur is faux). Most collections even throw in a pop of bold jewel tones like a sapphire blue hue or a fire red.
Our Fall 2010 collection is strongly inspired by Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. We have deep colors and bold colors and lots of volume plus leather jackets and faux fur to die for. I can not wait for all to see!
More style post this week!

NYFW Fall 2010- Marchesa

Marchesa is always a beautiful collection to look at. I know this is random compared to the other collections I posted but I love the frill. Even Marchesa is going for the sexy dark look with a pop of bold jewel tones.

NYFW Fall 2010- Vena Cava

Lots of fur on the runway. All I have to say: This shit better be fake guys. Anyhoo, another hot sexy dark collection hitting the runway...Vena Cava. Fishnets paired with a 60s inspired accessories. Chic and yet very understated. I like.

NYFW Fall 2010-Rag & Bone

Layers, Layers and more layers. Plaids, sweater knits, tweed, and fringe. I almost feel like I am staring at an Olsen twin on the runway but at the same time I can totally see myself wearing this collection out and about. I definitely don't hate it.

NYFW Fall 2010- Anna Sui

Holy crap. This collection is awesome. There is no fear here. Patterns and textures are mixed with no shame. I am loving the rustic tones mixed with bold jewel tones and I DIE over that grey/black fur coat. I just hope it is faux.
