Fall and winter accessories.

We all have our favorite cold weather accessories. Whether its scarves, gloves, muffs, coats or boots, everyone loves to layer. My obsession this year is gloves. I have fingerless leather, leather, lace, knit, etc. I even started to add my own flair by adding studs and spikes. Here are a few designer gloves at a steep price that you could DIY. Find a pair of cheap leather gloves. You can buy studs online at M&J Trimmings. Mark on your gloves with chalk where you want to place your studs. You can place studs in leather by hand using a hard surface or hammer to close the studs in place. No need for special tools and you can get a fun pair of gloves at a fraction of the designer cost. Feel free to comment if you have any questions about how to do it! Enjoy!

Insane footwear.

I look at these shoes and say...wow and ouch. I think it is pretty fascinating that shoes can be made into a piece of art, but I know for sure my face would hit the pavement before I even had a chance to put on the other shoe.
My favorite would have to be the bootie adorned with a sash detail. So fun but I hope I wouldn't trip over it.
What do you think?

Cheers,
Erin

The Strong Shoulder

Everyone has an opinion of the strong shoulder. But you either love it or you hate it. Personally I love the strong shoulder on blazers and it is a fun trend that will not last. Yes you saw it before and yes you will see it again. It is one of those trends like neon nail polish or flare leg jeans. Keep it in storage because it may come back in a decade or two.

New "IT" Bag of the Season

So if you know me, you know I have an obsession with handbags, purses, clutches-call them whatever you want- i love them.
Well Rachel Bilson as well as Leighton Meester, has been spotted with the cutest, most wonderful bag recently. It's studded and it has a bow! Amazing and only one designer created this masterpiece-Phillip Lim. I had the honor of attending his Spring 2010 fashion show under the tents at Bryant Park and I am extremely excited to see it in stores!

Unfortunately, it is not available for purchase in the states right now. This bag retails at $895.

Hooded glamour.

Here at Nire`, we love hoods. This hooded scarf by Rogan is pretty wonderful. It is already getting pretty damn cold in New York and as a southern girl, I am going to need all of the wool I can get. You can get this hooded scarf is charcoal, brown and gray for $192 at their Bowery location or www.rogannyc.com.
you can see more on the hooded scarf and the original article at style.com

Paris Fashion Week-Victor and Rolf

Be prepared to be amazed. It is just CRAZY what these men did with tulle! I mean WOW. The line just took my breath away. Look at how they used a whole optical illusion effect with tulle?!? I mean you can get that stuff for like $1 /yard. It may not be quality but it can definitely be cheap and damn useful when you are putting on a huge fashion show and have 17 garments to complete in a short amount of time. Obviously I am a tulle abuser. Just look at all of my stuff from MacroFashion from last October. Anywho. Enjoy the amazement Victor and Rolf created.
By the way, Love these shoes!

Paris Fashion Week-Stella McCartney

The Beatles are my all-time favorite band. I think I have every song by The Beatles on my iPod. It is only natural that I love Stella. Well this collection is amazing. Why you ask? Because I LOVE RUFFLES!!!! This is my own personal heaven. I want to play dress up! Really I would wear it to the grocery. So much fun!

Paris Fashion Week-Sonia Rykiel

I see so much of myself in this collection. It is so FUN! I mean even the models are having a blast and usually models on the runway looked like they just sucked on a sour Skittle or something. Oh do I do love the whole pillbox hat look!

Paris Fashion Week-RM by Roland Mouret

The RM by Roland Mouret Spring 2010 collection screams elegance with a splash of mystery. I would wear every single piece of this collection. It is very wearable yet very avant garde. It was a breath of fresh air from some collections. It can be overwhelming. And I have never been!

Paris Fashion Week-John Galliano

Hmmm. Another era. Definitely not the 70s. This is a pretty amazing collection as well. Another designer that does not disappoint. The colors, the feathers, all work great together giving this collection a new dimension. I like that it is not too 'costumey' compared to some of his previous work.

Paris Fashion Week- Jean Paul Gaultier

Jean Paul Gaultier was my first couture love. I discovered his amazing creations when I was around 12 and I was like, "I want to be like him." Well wow. Talk about a collection. He is very different and designs what he loves. It is just amazing to see what he comes up with every season. By the way, you will be able to purchase Jean Paul Gaultier in March at your local Target!! YES he will be doing a Go International line!!! So exciting!

Paris Fashion week-Isabel Marant

I see Woodstock personally. I am not sure if it is the camo boots or the whole flowy shirt with shorts thing. I like it I do. I know one thing...70s is in. Good thing because our Spring 2010 collection definitely has a 70s vibe!

Pqris Fashion Week-Giles

GILES. OMG This collection is wonderful. A.) I absolutely have to have those shades. B.)Texture. C.) Shiny. D.) Spiders??! Ok so not so much on the spiders or the stuffed rhino handbag(which I actually would wear) but this collection looks like the 70s revamped. I love it! And I will have those sunglasses!
